Goals and ramblings

Things are going pretty well since my break. All of my sessions have been short and focused, and even better - mostly winning.

My weekly homegame is another story. I haven't made the money in the last 8 weeks after taking first 4/5 weeks. Ah well, that game is just for fun anyway, even if the purse gets juicier and juicier every week as we add new players.

I'm still no closer to figuring out what my poker 'goals' are, which is a little disheartening given that I took a break to help sort that out. I still enjoy playing limit 6-max more than any other form of poker, so I'd say my #1 goal has to be becoming better at those games. It's a hard goal to measure, but hopefully it will lead to becoming a regular winning player at 5/10 and eventually 10/20. I'd love to set a goal of beating 10/20 by my birthday in July, but ... well, let's just leave it at trying to improve my overall game for now.

Wade is back!!!

Sorry for the prolonged absence, but I'm finally back at the tables and having more fun than ever!

It's amazing what a few weeks away can do for your game. For those like me who have been grinding away night after night forever - try taking some serious time off...You won't regret it!

I honestly feel like I've rediscovered poker...As my grandfather would say - I'm full of piss and vinegar again. As stupid as it sounds, that's something my game had been lacking for awhile.

Cheers!
